The sixth series of the ICC Men’s Cricket World Cup League 2 has been announced with the United States hosting Scotland and the United Arab Emirates in April 2020, as the journey to India 2023 continues.

USA, Scotland and the United Arab Emirates will play six One Day Internationals between 1 and 8 April at the Broward County Stadium in Fort Lauderdale, Florida. Each team will contest four matches each during the series with a maximum of eight points as qualification to the ICC Men’s Cricket World Cup 2023 heats up.

USA Cricket CEO Iain Higgins said: “We understand the importance of getting the venue and schedule confirmed as promptly as possible and we are thankful to our guests from Scotland and the UAE, as well as the ICC for their support.  As the only ODI accredited venue in the United States at present, and the recent successful host of our last series of matches in this competition, Broward County Stadium was the natural venue for these fixtures.”

After the 21 tri-series have been completed the top three teams will confirm their place in the ICC Men’s Cricket World Cup Qualifier 2022. The bottom four teams will drop into the Men’s Cricket World Cup Qualifier Play-Off 2022 – which is a repechage event to the Global Qualifier – and will be joined by the winner of Challenge League A and B. The top two teams from the Play-Off will keep their hopes alive of participating in India 2023, by qualifying for the Cricket World Cup Qualifier 2022.
