A youthful pair open the batting for the ICC’s Team of the Tournament.

Pakistan’s 17-year-old Haseebullah Khan (380 runs) averaged 76 in the tournament and showed enormous potential with his centuries against Zimbabwe and Sri Lanka.

The wicketkeeper is joined at the top of the order in a right-left hand combination by Australia opener Teague Wyllie (278 runs).

The remainder of the top five oozes class, with tournament top-scorer Dewald Brevis (506 runs and seven wickets) coming in at three on the back of his record-breaking run tally, followed by India and England captains Yash Dhull (229 runs) and Tom Prest (292 runs and five wickets).

That trio not only scored heavily throughout the tournament but did so in a dominant manner that showed an ability to take the run-rate away from opponents.

Dhull captains the side, while Prest and Brevis also contribute useful overs of spin.

There was never any doubt that Sri Lanka captain Dunith Wellalage (17 wickets and 264 runs) would be a part of the ICC’s Team of the Tournament. The leading wicket-taker and his team’s top-scorer slots in at number six.

Indian allrounder and Player of the Match in the final Raj Bawa (252 runs and nine wickets) further lengthens an already extremely deep batting line-up, coming in to round off the lower middle-order.

Uber-reliable left-arm spinner Vicky Ostwal (12 wickets) from India will lead the spin attack and bat at number eight.

And there are no shortage of pace options in the Team of the Tournament either, with Bangladesh’s Ripon Mondol (14 wickets), Pakistan’s Awais Ali (15 wickets) and England’s new-ball threat Josh Boyden (15 wickets) in the side. Afghanistan's Noor Ahmed (10 wickets) rounds up the side.
